To Feed A Family: Breakfast Made Easy

0

As we are entering the holiday season, most of us will either have a slew of house guests or be a house guest. And you know going out to breakfast is time consuming and expensive. (and hectic!) This is my collection of breakfast made easy dishes to feed a family and some are even make ahead or crockpot dishes!

I have not been able to make all of the yummy dishes for my family yet, since we are the ones that travel for the holidays typically. If you are a guest this season, consider asking your hostess if you can make breakfast for everyone one or two mornings of your stay to help her out. If you are hosting Thanksgiving this week, consider putting one of these together to keep your guests out of the kitchen and your hair!

This one is a slow cooker dish, Bacon Egg and Cheese Casserole. (recipe) I think this would do better for a brunch because of the cook times unless you get up at 3am. If you are already up at 3 to put the turkey, in then this is perfect! You will wake up to delicious aromas.

This Baked Egg Baguette seems like a cool idea. (recipe) Make ahead and guests can slice off what they want.  I have not tried it yet, but its on the list this season. I’d probably serve with a side of fresh fruit to lighten things up a bit, or make as a brunch and add a fun leafy salad.

My toddler loves french toast sticks. Loooooove them! If you have a lot of kids around for the holidays this is a great and easy breakfast that they will love. Put out a few different flavored syrups or make your own with jams and some sausage links. Easy peasy. (recipe)

If you want to take it up a notch, this overnight Eggs Benedict Casserole is the thing to make. (recipe) I will be making this on Christmas morning and its always a hit with everyone. Seriously, even Aunt So and So who is super picky about all food will take some. But with a toddler in tow, I will be cheating and buying pre made hollandaise sauce because, who has time for that?

For all you Southerners or souther at heart, Biscuit and Gravy Casserole is the way to go. (recipe) If you are feeling adventurous, you can make this with homemade biscuits and gravy but that seems like a lot of work. And we can’t forget Eggnog Cinnamon Rolls. (recipe) Yum. These are definitely rich and ooey gooey but simply delicious for all those sweet tooth cravings.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday season!!!!
