It’s getting close to what we like to call ‘jacket weather.’ That means that you can finally stroll around a festival or enjoy an outdoor activity with your children without your entire face melting off. This week in Atlanta Sept 30 – Oct 5, be sure to take advantage of the High Museum’s new pricing structure which saves adults about $5 per ticket and Fernbanks amazing new outdoor areas!

Starting October 1, the admission price will be reduced to just $14.50 for everyone over age 6. Children 5 and under are free. Toddler Thursdays themed activities are FREE with admission. Explore a new theme each month, with related artworks, art projects, stories, and tours.

As the country prepares for another presidential election, get a glimpse of our government’s history, shake hands and kiss babies in a ‘run for president’ obstacle course, keep things in order with checks and balances, try a citizenship test and learn how a bill makes its way through capitol hill. The Atlanta History Center offers special programs for homeschool students and their families. During these day-long programs, explore a different subject through engaging hands-on experiences, performances, historic simulations and a variety of activities designed for kids from toddler to teen.
