Even though summer is winding down to a close, there are still some hot summer deals available like the $1 Summer Movie Series at Studio Movie Grill and more around Atlanta this week. The Thirsty Roots Reading Group is starting up again for the fall. It is a free reading club designed for children ages 2-7 to learn about the natural environment through nature-themed book readings and projects. This week’s book is “Pipsie the Nature Detective: The disappearing caterpillar” by Rick DeDonato and the activity is Egg Carton Butterflies. Each session begins with a story followed by a hands-on activity that each child can complete with their guardian on the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum. The Treehouse is located in the Krog Street Market. Parking is extremely limited.

Then be sure to swing by the shop on Sunday afternoons with your little ones. Storytime usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the restlessness of the crowd.
