HI! I am, Kristen. I am a mostly stay at home mom to 2 year old little girl. I was born and raised around Atlanta but have frequented Florida as well through out my life. Prior to being a mother, I was a social butterfly, model, and restaurant manager.
All day I have had thoughts running through my head of all the witty and amazing things I was going to say and of course, after the circus that is bedtime and two glasses of wine, I cannot remember any of it. So instead this will be drastically different than what I originally imagined.
That same holds true for much of what we deal with on a daily basis as a parent. It is nothing like I could have ever imagined it to be. That is where MAMC comes in. Having a wonderful group of women, even if most of them I have never met, to go through this journey with makes it easier. People to ask questions. To not feel alone. And to me, that is the most important.
After leaving a very social career, It is definitely an adjustment to be at home with a child. I enjoy my time with her but I do miss the constant conversation and adult interaction. However, I now have a lot more time to do what I enjoy. Cooking! And I do a lot of it. Currently, there are 4 Adults and a toddler living in my home. The other 3 adults work full time so I am the “household manager” for everyone. I work hard at keeping our home (and kitchen) organized and everybody well fed without breaking the bank. Hopefully I can help you do the same.
