Can you believe that this is the last week in October? The LAST WEEK! Meaning that Halloween is happening in a few days and Thanksgiving is right around the corner! While you’re trying to figure out where the heck this year went, mark these MAMC Atlanta Activites October 27- November 2 on your calendar. Not to miss activities this week include the all-kid Halloween musical revue Strandemonium Jr. at the Strand Theatre on October 26 and the Triple Tales Family Festival on October 30.

THURSDAY
Story & Sing-a-long @ Hippo Hop

FREE with admission
Head to the healthy, indoor play place for a story and sing-a-long every Thursday at 11 a.m. Free for adults and babies under one year old. For children aged 3-10 require $9 admission fee. Fables, Folktales & Fairy Tales

The 3rd annual Triple Tales Family Festival is for children pre-k through grade 5 and their families. Enjoy games and fables, folktales and fairy tales. Participants are welcome to wear costumes representing their favorite storybook characters. You and your family will have a great time and children will be inspired to want to read! Not Too Scary Storytime and Haints & Saints Halloween Parade

Kick off a day of Halloween fun at Little Shop of Stories for their annual Not Too Scary Storytime! Wear your costume and after storytime, march in the Haints and Saints Halloween Parade. The parade starts at the post office, heads down Ponce, makes a right at Church, another right at Trinity, and another right on North McDonough where it ends on the Square with a musical jam. This is a repeat activity from last week’s list, but it is so worth it! The Thirsty Roots Reading Group is a free reading club designed for children ages 2-7 to learn about the natural environment through nature-themed book readings and projects. This week’s book is “The Busy Tree” and the activity is the creation of a spooky animal craft. The Treehouse is located in the Krog Street Market. Parking is extremely limited.
