Meet Brittany Aldredge

0

My name is Brittany Aldredge, and I am married with one beautiful child. I was first introduced to My Atlanta Moms Club when its founder Caroline Hoffman invited me to the Facebook group, previously known as Atlanta Moms Club. I was pregnant with my first and only child when she created the group. My husband was deployed during the end of the pregnancy and for the first few months of our daughter’s life. During this time, I had so many questions and thoughts about what my first experience with motherhood would be like. Being a member of the group, I was able to have help and support in finding these answers and my worries quickly faded. Being able to connect with other mothers that were experiencing similar situations was so comforting. Even as the group began to grow, the feeling of community remained strong. Each mom was there for one reason, to support other moms.

During the years of existence of MAMC, we have been able to laugh, cry and vent about the many joys of parenting. It has been a place to go to share everyday moments, but also an important resource for advice on medical and mental challenges that also come along with parenthood. The feeling of having somewhere to run to for help and support when your little one is sick has been unexplainable. With breastfeeding drastically on the rise, having other mothers to share their tips, tricks and experiences has made a huge impact on many moms to be able to meet their breastfeeding goals. MAMC has had a huge impact on my life and helps me to be able to give my daughter the best that I possibly can. I am honored to be a part of MAMC and very grateful for every mom in the group that helps to support each other during the challenging journey of motherhood.
