Halloween Party Appetizers

3

I love Halloween! Maybe because I am a goth girl at heart and love all the spooky vibes and black everything… but the food is yummy too! I’ve come up with a collection of a few cute, but not too creepy, appetizers for adults and kids alike! These are perfect for your kids school class party and the adult costume party you’ve been getting ready for!

  • 1 dozen hard boiled eggs (how to)
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

Salt, pepper, & cayenne to taste, Black olives, cut to look like spider bodies and legs. Easy peasy right? The little ones LOVE these!

Since my family loves bacon, we also added some chopped bacon to the mix, because come on, this is the south. These little guys fly off the plate, so make sure you bring enough to go around! Go ahead and make a double batch, you’ll thank me later.

Definitely super cute and tasty. (recipe)

Pumpkin Cheese Ballpumpkin-cheese-ball

We make this cheese ball quite often, so I decided to change it a little for Halloween. I omitted the pecans this time and added the bacon to the mix and used extra cheese to cover the outside of the ball before molding into a pumpkin shape by hand. It was much easier than i thought!

One large round sourdough bowl, scooped out then filled with guacamole and set atop sliced multicolored peppers to look like fire. Serve with tortilla chips. I wish i could find a dark rye colored bread to make the bowl black, but maybe next time i’l just use a plastic cauldron from the dollar store.

I thought these would be more orange pumpkin colored than they came out, but that might be because I used long grain rice instead of short grain. Mine definitely do not look as cute as the original recipe but I still figured I would share because they are cute and somewhat healthy. I said somewhat! 😉  (recipe)

Just a few other things I found but did not have time to try. If you get a chance to try these comment below and let me know how they turned out!
