Frugalista Friday: Top Tips of the Week

0

It’s Frugalista Friday, and the weekend is here!  Each Friday, we’ll be bringing you favorite deals, freebies, and ways to cut spending for your family.  Here are the top 5 sales I’m most excited about this week for our top tips of the week!  Happy shopping!

  1. First of all, I always include Kroger’s Free Friday item of the week: Sheba Meaty Sticks (5 ct) or Temptations cat treats (2.1-3 oz).  It’s totally free, so even if you don’t have a cat or a friend who has cats, pick one up and donate it to an animal shelter!  Don’t forget that all you have to do is load it onto your Plus card today using the Kroger app or this link, then pick it up in store by 10/2.  If that wasn’t already great enough, be sure to check out your Kroger app or log into your Plus card account, because you may also be able to load an offer for a free Aquafina sparkling water!  My personal theory on the story behind this offer is that they never had these in stock when I went to the store a couple of months ago while these were the free Friday item.  So Kroger is making up for it now!  Woo hoo!!  You get all the way until 11/23 to redeem this offer it appears in your account.  While you’re there, make sure you’re aware of all the ways to save at one of Atlanta’s favorite grocery stores!aquafina-sparking-water-mamccat-treats-mamc
  2. I don’t know about your families, but the new Finding Dory movie was a huge hit in our house! The good news is that it will be releasing to DVD on November 15th! I just went ahead and took advantage of my favorite preorder deal, which ended up being from Target. The DVD ships to you on or shortly after the release date, and the cost is $19.99… but you get a $5 Target giftcard with your purchase! With your Target Redcard (even the debit version), shipping is free, and you get 5% off everything every day. Since I used my Redcard, my final total was $20.13 for the movie and $5 giftcard!dory-mamc
  3. If you’re as tired of laundry as I am, here’s an awesome deal on a pack of onesies! Amazon currently has the Gerber 5-packs on sale for $7.99, which is only $1.60 each! I bought the white ones to put under overalls and fall/winter outerwear, but the price also applies to several varieties with cute designs on them. (Note: Amazon pricing can change at any time.)  I always love my free 2 day shipping with my Prime membership!gerber-onesies-mamc
  4. Shopping ahead for Halloween? Do your little ones love to play dressup? Kohl’s has some excellent costume deals going on right now on their website. Offer valid for rapunzel-costume-mamca limited time. Free shipping is offered with a purchase of at least $75. Be sure to use promo code SUPERSAVER for 20% off your order if you spend over $100. If you spend less than $100, save 15% with promo code BIGSAVER. If you buy a Disney Princess costume, you get to select a free gift with your purchase (up to $20 value). This includes options like Princess Elsa musical gloves, Princess Aurora Enchanted Lights wand, various princess tiara & shoe sets, and more! If you happen to have a Kohl’s card, you get to save 30% off your order with code HARVEST30 and get free shipping with code SEPT4FREE.
  5. Lastly, are you shopping ahead for Christmas? SAMs Club has a money saving deal on gift cards that make great gifts for Secret Santa or Christmas party gift exchanges.  Also, it’s a rare way to save money on your own restaurant dining! Thankfully, you don’t have to be a SAMs Club member to participate, but it will cost you 10% more without a current membership. They are offering a $100 P.F. Chang’s multipack for $74.88, a $50 Coldstone Creamery giftcard for $39.98, and a $50 Build-a-Bear Workshop giftcard for $39.98. Offers valid at least through 9/16.  pfchang-mamc
